With a proven track record in leading change, driving process improvements, and implementing organisational strategies across multiple programs, you'll have a demonstrated ability to manage and execute large-scale initiatives.
What can you expect to be doing?
Your leadership will inspire a culture of excellence, driving the implementation of robust safety systems, enhancing service quality and ensuring comprehensive risk management.
- Lead with Vision and Integrity: Foster a high-performance, engaging, and collaborative environment by embodying our core values. Mentor staff, ensuring effective performance management while fostering professional growth. Provide strategic guidance and advice to the Board and Executive Management.
- Champion Safety: Lead the implementation of safety systems and protocols, collaborating with senior leadership to drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement that values our clients’ dignity and ensures the well-being of our dedicated staff and volunteers.
- Elevate Quality Assurance: Manage the internal audit function, oversee compliance monitoring and develop and maintain robust systems to deliver high-quality services. Ensure our policies and frameworks remain compliant and up-to-date, consistently meeting the needs of our community with excellence.
- Strategic Risk Management: Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks, proactively addressing emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Manage reporting, data analysis, and business continuity planning to ensure organisational resilience and ongoing improvement. Prioritise a supportive approach, focusing on meaningful risk management practices.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety, management, or related field, or extensive relevant experience. Highly Desirable: Further studies in leadership and management.
- Expertise in work health and safety management systems, including comprehensive legislative knowledge, risk management and contemporary quality and safety models.
- Previous experience in managing a self-insurance framework, including statutory reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, influencing and engaging at all levels, coupled with financial acumen in budget monitoring, income management, and expenditure control.
