We’re searching for a rostering specialist who thrives in a fast-paced team environment but can also work independently with confidence. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the timely and efficient rostering of direct care services, making a real impact on the lives of our customers. What can you expect to be doing?
- Optimise and maintain rosters to balance forecasted and reactive scheduling needs while matching customer requirements with staff capabilities.
- Approach rostering with a solutions mindset, effectively managing both proactive and reactive scheduling demands.
- Communicate with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience for customers and team members alike.
- Work independently and collaboratively to schedule services that align with customer needs and preferences.
- Create, edit, and manage rosters for a team of direct care staff, ensuring compliance with individual contracts and Enterprise Agreements.
- Liaise effectively with Care Staff, Coordinators, and Nurses to communicate service changes and updates.
- Coordinate shift coverage for planned and unplanned leave.
- Maintain rostering systems to enhance service delivery and align with best practice care standards.
- Manage timesheets and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Oversee a busy enquiry inbox, responding promptly to rostering-related queries.
What do you need to bring?
- Proven rostering experience (essential), preferably within aged care or community services.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach to interactions.
- Excellent organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
- A deep understanding of best-practice rostering processes and workforce optimisation strategies.
- Confidence using rostering systems and software.
- The ability to connect with diverse individuals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset, with the initiative to navigate changing demands and situations positively.
