A well-established company providing operational support to clients across various industries is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their large and collaborative finance team.
About the Role
You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reporting, supporting both day-to-day accounting operations and broader compliance and audit functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, post, and review month-end journals and batches.
- Perform month-end closing procedures, including management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to strict timelines.
- Support internal and external audits, complete audit requests, and follow up on any audit findings.
- Assist with statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Where applicable:
Apply strong analytical skills to prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements and discuss findings with Finance Management.
Prepare and present monthly reports on key balance sheet items to management.
Promote and implement corporate policies and procedures related to financial accounting.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Be flexible and willing to undertake any additional tasks assigned by management.

Key Skills and Personality Traits
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Familiarity with lease, fixed asset, and intangible asset accounting is a plus.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
- Experience in major accounting software packages (Oracle would be an advantage).
- Strong knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards to the business.
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to work professionally and effectively in high pressure situations.
Qualifications and Typical Experience:
- Accounting/Finance Degree
- Postgraduate (CPA/CA) qualification is ideal but not mandatory
- Over 3 years Financial Accounting Experience/Minimum 3 years Past Financial Audit Experience is ideal
- Company Tax knowledge an advantage.

- Japanese Language skill or experience working for Japanese company is not mandatory but highly regarded
