Your new role
Deliver critical analytical support for the identification, assessment, development and implementation of short-and long-term business growth opportunities.
Co-ordinate the commercial and business analytical aspects of the due diligence process, reviewing early stage opportunities and assessing project viability.
Deliver support on executing a schedule of projects to deliver on growth targets.
Participate in condition assessment, bid preparation and contract negotiation.
Manage documents relating to commercial activities.
Prepare progress reports for SLT / Board.
Develop financial models, including three-way financial model development.
Understand project finance models and modelling techniques.
Maintain and analyse key assumption data
Organise and manage market studies for key assumptions
Develop discounted cash flow analysis and derivation of discount rates for financial modelling and assessment.
Analyse and interpret model findings.
Provide strategic and commercial analysis to support the valuation of existing and prospective renewable energy initiatives and projects.
Manage feasibility studies and analysis to assess potential opportunities.
Conduct research of current economic environment within the renewable sector, market regulations and market outlook.
Conduct research into parasitic loss research and development and installer pre-feasibility (evaluation of alternatives, concept selection, business cases etc).
Carry out market analysis (pricing, renewable projects, rules, competition, opportunities, customer needs).
What you'll need to succeed
Financial modelling skills coupled with good conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
Analytical / quantitative skills with experience in project valuation and financial analysis.
Renewable energy experience, knowledge of the Australian energy regulations and knowledge of the electricity market is highly advantageous.
Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
Strategic thinking, prioritisation skills and ability to plan, execute and deliver a project.
Ability to deliver optimal results with minimal oversight.
Advanced Excel skills and good MS Office capability
Self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to take responsibility.
Good attendance and time keeping.
Well organised, resourceful, independent.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to take ownership for role responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Strong attention to detail.
