Your new company
Our state government client, based in Perth CBD, is seeking a driven Financial Accountant to join their busy team. Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible through to the end of August 2025. This will be a temporary contract arrangement with the expectation of working a standard full-time working week of 37.5 hours.
Your new role
As a Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit queries.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, implementing them as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Prior experience in this role is essential.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
