Your new company
A government organisation in East Perth, are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Officer to join the team. This role will be offered on an initial temporary contract for 6-months, and will require you to work full-time hours in the office. You will be paid at a hourly rate of $60 per hour + superannuation.
Your new role
As the Senior Contract Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing, managing and administering contract and procurement activities
- Supporting the Contract Manager by ensuring that contracts are managed efficiently and in line with department requirements
- Preparing and managing Contract Management Plans.
- Updating and managing administrative systems to ensure a full and complete record of all contracts, including contract amendments and variations, are kept current.
- Undertaking regular supplier relationship management activities
- Monitoring supplier performance and implementing action plans to improve performance, seeking guidance and support for more complicated performance issues.
- Investigating and evaluating issues and disputes
- Monitoring expenditure against contracts ensuring contract values are not exceeded and/or steps are taken to rectify any potential financial issues.
- Managing supplier invoicing
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in end-to-end contract management, including planning, market engagement and implementation
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with confidence in handling contractual negotiations
- Fantastic attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills
- Previous experience in the public sector would be highly advantageous
