We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AO5 Project Officer to join the Technical Services team. This team is responsible for assessing abandoned mine sites across Queensland, ensuring they are safe, secure, durable, and productive. You will play a key role in supporting the Office of the Executive Director by managing business documentation, coordinating administrative processes, and assisting in corporate governance and reporting.

Rate: - AO5 equivalent $66 + super
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Coordinate high-level corporate documents and processes, including conflict of interest declarations and parliamentary reports.
- Liaise with government officers and senior staff to facilitate smooth operations.
- Research and prepare correspondence, briefs, and reports as required.
- Maintain a strong understanding of operational activities and provide timely advice on emerging issues.
- Support the Principal Project Officer with reporting responsibilities and high-priority projects.
- Assist with procurement activities and financial reporting using systems such as Aurion, SAP, and PowerBI.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director.
- Other duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Detail-oriented and highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communicators, able to liaise professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience in a public sector Senior Executive or Senior Officer office is desirable.
- Proficiency in Aurion, SAP, PowerBI, or other information systems is highly regarded.
- Prior knowledge of procurement processes or certification is advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates must be willing to work in the 1 William Street office at least three days per week and some days until 5pm.
- Must have full Australian working rights
