HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised APS 5 level Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support in a dynamic workplace. This role requires a proactive professional with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing emails, appointments, and preparing briefing materials.
- Scheduling meetings and preparing reports and documents related to committees and projects.
- Organising travel arrangements and supporting official functions for the General Manager and other agency staff as required.
- Providing guidance, support, and quality assurance to staff at lower classification levels.
- Identifying and contributing to the resolution of issues as they arise.
- Maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Assisting with maintaining risk management programs.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders, prepare reports, and handle correspondence.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant office tools.
- The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support various functions as needed.
- An understanding of confidentiality and privacy principles when handling sensitive information.
- Previous Executive Assistant experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications in business administration, management, office administration, project management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a government or large organisation.
Working Conditions:
- Open office and hot desk environment.

- Significant periods of desk-based and screen-based work.
- Interaction with assistance animals in the work area may occur.
