Our client is Australian Government scheme that funds reasonable and necessary supports associated with significant and permanent disability. An opportunity is available for a 12 month Senior Cloud Engineer contract.
Your new role
The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer will be situated in a multi-skilled team to support for our platforms and applications by providing in-depth troubleshooting and backend analysis to effectively resolve issues.
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will have a high attention to detail, and you'll have the ability to prioritise and take ownership. You will be comfortable working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders with a high aptitude for learning in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who has a passion and drive for working in a technical environment, utilising the latest tools and technologies in a cloud focused organisation.
A successful candidate will demonstrate leadership skills which will be utilised to effectively coach and develop level 2 technicians.
What you'll need to succeed
Must be an Australian Citizen- A demonstrated minimum 5 years’ experience working in technical roles; demonstrated high level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A positive attitude with the desire to learn and develop skills.
- Demonstrated experience working within cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS). Including understanding of concepts such as Linux/windows operating systems, networking, IAM, capacity planning & troubleshooting.
- Excellent experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Cloudwatch or Dynatrace, and supporting SAAS products.
- Knowledge of container/Kubernetes based environments and good understanding of DevOps principles.
- Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team, delivering robust scalable solutions, and demonstrated strong commitment to meeting agreed work targets and standards.
- Experience working with version control systems (GitLab, GitHub).
- Familiarity with Terraform
