My client, a prominent state Government department, are seeking a skilled and motivated Content Writer to join their team in this dynamic role.
Your new role
As a Content Writer you will develop and manage the newsletters production schedule, ensuring that all publications meet strict deadlines. You will plan and coordinate content themes and story pipelines, aligning them with project milestones and communication goals. You will work to edit and refine articles and ensure that all content is clear and maintains the tone of the department.
You will make decisions on content prioritisation, editorial layout, and visual storytelling as well as assigning stories to internal contributors and teams such as writers, graphic designers and photographers. You will coordinate stakeholder reviews and approval processes for all content, including sensitive and high-profile material. You will also be responsible for managing the newsletter’s budget and that the final publication aligns with government standards, brand guidelines and community engagement objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in content writing or a similar role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience liaising with graphic designers and digital teams.
- Familiarity with government standards and brand guidelines is a plus
- Keen eye for detail
