Your new company
Our state government client, based in Perth, is seeking a driven Accounts Payable Officer to join their busy team. Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible. This will be a temporary contract arrangement with the expectation of working full-time, 37.5 hours a week.
Your new role
Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records, including vendor statements and payment reports.
Verify expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
Respond to queries from suppliers, customers, and internal staff regarding payments and invoices.
Prepare monthly expense statements and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Assist in streamlining payment processes and improving efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Experience in Accounts Payable is needed.
Proficiency in accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of GST, payroll, and other financial regulations.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
