Your new role
- Lead the design and implementation of modernising client's email services using Microsoft Exchange Online and Fortra Secure Email Gateways.
- Drive the technical direction of email system modernisation work packages under the DUP.
- Ensure compliance with client's enterprise and security architecture frameworks.
- Develop and get approval for system design documentation.
- Create implementation plans and collaborate with technical SMEs to successfully implement and test the designed outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Microsoft Purview and broader M365 security and compliance tools.
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Cloud security architecture and Zero Trust principles.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Exchange Online, including Exchange Online Protection (EOP), hybrid configurations, and migrations.
- Hands-on experience with Fortra (formerly Clearswift) Secure Email Gateways.
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot secure email infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with protective markings and email handling policies.
- Proficient in writing high-quality technical documentation.
- Skilled in presenting technical solutions to workgroups and review boards.
- Development and Implementation / Systems Development / Infrastructure Design (IFDN) - Level 6
- Strong understanding of email security concepts like encryption, DLP, and compliance.
- Knowledge of email routing, SMTP protocols, DNS configurations (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and mail flow.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technical tertiary qualifications and Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
- Security Clearance: Candidate must hold a minimum NV1 clearance.
