IT Senior Project Manager - Applications

Join Our Team as an IT Senior Project Manager - Applications!
Toll Group is seeking a dynamic IT Senior Project Manager – Applications to join our Global Infrastructure Team. In this pivotal role, you will work with diverse stakeholders to gather, understand, and validate project requirements, ensuring they are clearly communicated to the project delivery team, including Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, and Service Owners. You will be responsible for analysing and documenting system functional and non-functional requirements, translating application requirements into project delivery requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate and complete business analysis activities, including eliciting, documenting, and managing stakeholder business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, while providing overall support to the Program Manager and the project team. This role requires strong analytical and synthesis skills, the ability to understand organisational objectives, and experience in business analysis and project management. A day in the life of an IT Senior Project Manager - Applications at Toll Group:
- Manage the full lifecycle of business and technology projects, including planning, controlling, and delivering (design, build, test, deployment).
- Prepare business cases and project documentation, assisting in their development as needed.
- Oversee project schedules, resource planning, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring accountability and efficient use of resources.
- Optimise the use of internal and external project resources, managing the project team's skills effectively.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and variations, ensuring follow-up actions are effective and applying appropriate project governance.
- Handle stakeholder management and project communications, including quality and deliverable acceptance, reporting on progress, and conducting post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned.
About You:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
- PMP / PMI / PRINCE2 /PMBOK or equivalent certification desirable
- IIBA Certification CBAP or comparable experience desirable
Skills
- Demonstrable track record of successfully contributing to the delivery of complex, large-scale IT projects.
- Proven direct experience in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Experience working with 3rd party IT providers and/or system integrators.
- Planning and conducting workshops to translate business requirements into 'fit for purpose' solutions.
- Understanding of business case development, benefits realisation, and financial aspects including Capex/Opex.
- Demonstrated experience in business process re-engineering, business requirements analysis, and techniques such as use case analysis, data/process flow diagramming, and process mapping.
- Experience working in an offshore environment.
