Your new role
As Purchasing Officer, you will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring smooth procurement operations for the warehouse and showroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and placing purchase orders for stock replenishment and customer-specific needs.
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships by assisting with quotes, pricing checks, and adhering to company standards.
- Managing purchase orders efficiently, including supplier deliveries and collections.
- Monitoring inventory levels to align with business and sales demands.
- Accurately receipting stock and reconciling invoices with purchase orders.
- Raising and resolving credit claims for damaged goods, incorrect pricing, or returns.
- Supporting project-specific purchasing needs as required.
- Providing accurate ETAs for supplier orders and updating relevant systems and teams.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll have prior experience in a purchasing, inventory or supply chain role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Pronto experience will be viewed positively. However, having experience with and the ability to adapt to a variety of ERP systems is enough to be considered for this role. You will be required to be on site 5 days per week for this role.
