Principal Systems Engineer
Are you ready to lead systems design efforts for innovative space products? In this role, you will oversee the design and development of systems for spacecraft and associated technologies, driving the future of space mobility and autonomy. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers, ensuring our solutions are innovative, efficient, and compliant. Your expertise and leadership will drive groundbreaking projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Management.
- Solid engineering/product development experience, including leadership in systems engineering.
- Expertise in requirements management.
- Experience with robotic or spacecraft systems, hardware, and software.
- Strong understanding of interface control documents, engineering drawings, and software process flowcharts.
- Experience leading Systems Engineering processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Ability to attain and hold NV1 security clearance.
Principal Software Engineer
Are you ready to lead software systems development for innovative space products? We are seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the design and development of software for hardware products driving the future of space mobility and resource utilisation. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deploy and maintain software on hardware and mission control systems, ensuring tight configuration control and managing interfaces with external systems. Your expertise will drive groundbreaking projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid years of experience leading software development or systems engineering teams.
- Proven experience with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, Atlassian suite) and ensuring configuration control and backward compatibility.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining application software for operational hardware systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and organised with a track record of delivering high-quality software.
- Ability to attain and hold NV1 security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in space, aerospace, robotics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry standards for safety and reliability in software development.
- Knowledge of software development practices and version control systems.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems development.
- Experience in a startup environment.
