The Job
As the National Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client's sales operations, overseeing teams, setting ambitious targets, and developing strategies to drive business growth. You will manage regional and divisional sales teams, build key client relationships, and ensure the achievement of sales and market share targets.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated leader who thrives on identifying market opportunities, driving revenue, and coaching sales teams to success.
You will:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve national sales targets.
- Lead, mentor, and train regional/division managers to maximise sales effectiveness and performance.
- Establish, foster, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Oversee and refine the sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, potential business opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Oversee proposals, negotiations, and contract renewals to close sales efficiently and maximise revenue.
- Ensure alignment of sales activities with the company's policy, maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and diversify revenue streams.
- Manage and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement structured training programs for new and existing sales team members.
- Coach and mentor sales professionals to enhance their skills and improve overall team performance.
- Create a results-driven sales culture by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and recognising achievements.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in sales techniques, client engagement, and negotiation strategies.
We are looking for:
- Extensive experience in sales leadership within the building services industry, preferably electrical, or relevant industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share in a competitive environment.
- Strong B2B relationship management experience with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-impact results.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in business, sales, or a related field, along with established industry networks.
