We are seeking a detail-oriented EL1 Service Designer to join our Federal Government Agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and improvement of services, ensuring quality outcomes and enhancing the overall participant experience.

About the Role
As an EL1 Service Designer, you will play a crucial role within the Participant Experience Design division, helping drive service improvements and deliver quality outcomes. In this role, you will:
- Lead and research insights to enhance the agency's understanding of service needs and challenges.
- Co-create and document the current state of services through design and research, focusing on both participant and staff experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and test improved service processes and experiences.
- Apply design thinking principles to ensure that service changes align with participant and staff needs.
- Contribute to evaluating proposed solutions, supporting both strategic and tactical design levels.
- Advocate for participants, ensuring their voice is embedded in service design and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching and identifying insights to enhance the agency's understanding of service user needs.
- Co-creating and documenting current state service designs and business processes.
- Leading design-thinking sessions with service users to innovate and test service processes and experiences.
- Advocating for participants' experiences through design processes.
- Contributing to the evaluation of design solutions and managing service improvements.
- Overseeing end-to-end service experiences, ensuring consistency across different service touchpoints.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in service design or a similar field, ideally within a government or large public sector environment.
- Strong skills in design-thinking, process improvement, and service design methodologies.
- Experience in collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to co-create and implement service improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for participant-centred service design.
- A strong ability to interpret policies and procedures to inform service design decisions.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
