Your new role
As the Manager,
Strategic Priorities, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior
Manager, Strategy & Operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will
include:
Providing Expert Advice & Support: You will
offer expert advice and counsel to the Senior Manager, ensuring they are
well-briefed on risks and issues. You will support the effective management of
the Senior Manager’s priorities by leading or supporting cross-department and
cross-division initiatives and planning.
Identifying Strategic Opportunities: You will
identify strategic opportunities and, as needed or directed by the CEO and
executive team, provide support for cross-organisational priorities.
Acting as a Proxy: You will act as a proxy on
behalf of the Senior Manager when required, representing their interests and
ensuring continuity in decision-making and operations.
Managing & Communicating Priorities: You
will drive the effective management, delivery, and communication of
cross-department and cross-division strategic and operational priorities. This
includes overseeing the implementation of planning and change initiatives.
Overseeing Leadership Team Operations: You will
ensure the effective operation of the Senior Leadership Team by organising
agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for leadership meetings.
Leading Team Development: You will lead the
performance and professional development of team members, fostering a highly
productive and collaborative team environment.
Engaging Stakeholders: You will engage with
internal stakeholders to ensure effective framing of messaging and support the
implementation of strategic initiatives.
Coordinating Information Sharing: You will lead
coordination and information sharing across the Strategy & Operations
division, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and aligned.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in
this role, you will need:
Tertiary
qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as business administration or
policy, along with relevant experience.
Experience in
managing, supporting, and developing staff to deliver organisational outcomes.
The ability to
effectively manage ambiguity and identify and deliver key priorities to a high
standard.
Exceptional
interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent relationship
management skills, influencing abilities, and the capacity to work
collaboratively and supportively across a range of business units.
A high level of
coordination, facilitation, research, analysis, problem-solving, and
organisational skills.
An understanding of
research Governance and ethics.

(open to discussing salary dependent on experience)
