HOBAN has partnered with one of Sydney's largest container storage and logistics organisation based in South Strathfield.
This family-owned business has been in operation for decades with years of success and experience within the logistics industry.
Due to the rapid growth of this organisation, we are seeking a Container Forklift Operators to join their team.
Operating APEX Container Forklifts, this role includes the movement of empty and filled containers within the yard as well as off trailers for storage and:
- Perform 'Daily Pre-Starts' and 'End of Day' processes as required to ensure the safe operation of the Forklifts, including but not limited to daily cleaning of all windscreens and mirrors
- Accurately record diesel usage on daily forklift check sheet and hand in the Forklift Check sheet to the Depot manager each working Friday or the following working day
- Have daily toolbox meet up with Gatehouse Administrators & other Forklift Operators to discuss current container stacking requirements and priority work agendas for each member to achieve maximum productivity for that working day
- Load, unload trucks and dig-out containers as instructed by Gatehouse Administrator or other authorised personal whilst adhering to company's safe operation of forklifts procedures
- Record each and every Container Movement In or Out on the Forklift Container Control Sheet and hand in to Gatehouse Administrator at least once throughout the day or as required with workloads and again at the end of each working day
- Maintain "First In - First Out" (FIFO) Container Stacking where possible to do so having special attention to the following container statuses in Depot-Pro
Working Monday to Friday from the hours of 6:30am - 7:00pm, this opportunity has the potential to lead to permanency.
