In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Engagement Framework, which distinguishes between co-design, consultation, and information engagement. You will work closely with the Co-Design Advisory Group, including members of the Independent Advisory Council (IAC) and Disability and Carer Representative Organisations (DRCOs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate, inform, and liaise with mainstream services to improve participant experience and increase social and economic participation.
- Maintain and nurture local relationships with key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team to engage with people with disabilities, their families, and carers using a nationally consistent approach.
- Represent the organisation at external forums and events, providing valuable information and guidance to the community.
- Proactively deliver engagement activities and projects in line with the Engagement strategy.
- Communicate clear, concise, and effective messages to people with disabilities, their families, and carers, as well as other community and mainstream stakeholders.
- Manage the state/territory engagement inbox, acting as a point of escalation for enquiries and requests.
About You:
You will be accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work, guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents. You will organise your workflow and make independent decisions within your area of responsibility. Your role will involve providing policy advice based on your specialisation, supported by policies and legislation.
