Who are we looking for?
Are you passionate about inclusive education and early childhood development? We are looking for a Developmental Educator to join our team and work alongside Allied Health Professionals and Early Childhood Educators to deliver high-quality support to autistic children in an early learning setting.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Provide best practice Developmental Education services to children and families.
- Conduct assessments, therapy, and education based on individual goals.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Support the development, implementation and review of positive behaviour support plans for children with autism.
- Be actively involved in the mentoring of staff and students to ensure the highest levels of service delivery and program development.
What do you need to bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in Disability and Developmental Education.
- Registration (or eligibility) with DEAI.
- Experience providing therapeutic services to autistic children and supporting their development.
- Understanding of positive behaviour support and experience in developing behaviour support plans.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage with families, carers, and professionals.
- First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check and Child Safe Environments or willing to obtain.
