Job Description:

We're looking for an engaging and proactive Workforce Programs Officer to join our team! If you are passionate about developing and delivering training, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to apply for this pivotal role!

As the Workforce Programs Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for the Elder Care Support and, Greater Choices for At Home Palliative Care programs. You will ensure that non-accredited training and support is organised, sequenced and delivered to enable local workforce to support older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • Experience in, or willingness to learn about developing, delivering and/or facilitating training;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of person-centered care, trauma informed practice;
  • Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business;
  • Sound understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the aged care system;
  • Knowledge of the health, social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;
  • Ability to develop networks with community and government stakeholders;
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate own workload to meet deadlines; and
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
