About the opportunity:
We’re looking for two Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university graduates to join our teams in Human Resources and Customer Experience Group.
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university graduates include:
- One on one access to an Indigenous Mentor to help you settle and make meaningful connections
- One on one pastoral care support from a dedicated HR team member
- Opportunities to build professional networks both within IP Australia and externally
- On the job training to help graduates establish their professional grounding
- Personalised learning and development plan to support your professional development goals
- Work rotations designed to expose graduates across the relevant business areas.
What is it like to work at IP Australia?
- IP Australia is an Australian Government agency responsible for administering Australia’s intellectual property (IP) rights system, specifically patents, trademarks, designs and plant breeder’s rights. IP Australia also undertakes programs to educate and promote an awareness of IP, provides IP policy input to Government, develops legislation to support the IP system and contributes to bilateral and multilateral negotiations to improve IP protection internationally.
- As a key part of our work, we’re committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to protect their Indigenous Knowledge and ensuring the cultural integrity and economic potential of Indigenous Knowledge are supported in the IP system.
- We have also launched a pilot Indigenous Knowledge Panel to ensure policy positions and procedures are directly informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
