About the Role
As Senior Prospect Researcher you will be responsible for identifying prospective donors for the University and providing deep insights for fundraising and Senior Executive staff into this cohort. You will gather, analyse and synthesize large amounts of public financial and biographical information into concise background reports, profiles and other material. You will analyse complex financial information to assign total philanthropic capacity ratings for prospects in the Leadership Giving, Major Gifts and Principal Gifts programs. 

You will support the operation of the University’s Gift Committee through the supply of due diligence profiles regarding potential major donors to the University. 

You will manage fundraiser assignments ensuring portfolio optimisation. 

You are responsible for the tracking of key data elements in the CRM.

You should show initiative, taking ownership of delivery, with sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information. You will also have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline, preferably Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Demonstrated experience in a prospect research environment in a work-related context and experience in utilising online research tools
  • In depth understanding of the fundraising landscape in Australia and internationally

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
