Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
 
About the role
 
In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering Community Legal Education (CLE) initiatives and projects. You will contribute to the implementation of the CLE Strategic Framework and the CLE Branch strategic plan and provide guidance and support to staff across the organisation in the development and delivery of CLE.
This role will also be required to travel across the state to deliver community legal education as required.
 
 
About you
 
You are a lawyer with experience in developing and delivering targeted community legal education programs. You will be a strong collaborator who is able to work and consult with various internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts and the broader CLE team.  You will build and develop relationships with communities, clients and networks to identify community legal education needs and ensure those needs are reflected and delivered in the appropriate CLE programs. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, to deliver and present information to clients, in plain English and easy to understand formats. 
 
We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role
 
You must have:
 
·       be admitted or be eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
·       be able to provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us
·       be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check
·       hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
·       valid NSW drivers license and the ability for remote travel
