Legal Aid NSW is seeking a driven and experienced Team Leader Talent Acquisition to join our dynamic team. In this leadership role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our talent acquisition function, ensuring we attract and onboard the best talent to support our vital work.
 
 
About the role

As Team Leader Talent Acquisition, you'll lead (up to 8 direct reports) and drive our recruitment operations, overseeing a team responsible for delivering efficient, contemporary, and business-focused recruitment and onboarding for both ongoing and temporary positions. You'll provide expert direction, training, and support to your team while partnering with internal stakeholders and people leaders across Legal Aid NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of a broad range of talent acquisition services, ensuring timely and accurate execution within service level agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and refine recruitment methods, tools, and knowledge to enhance efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
  • Champion the use of new technology, including a new human capital management system and a recruitment approvals portal, to optimize recruitment processes.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, compliance with legislation, and audit requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with managers and staff across divisions, providing recruitment expertise and guidance.
  • Contribute to HR projects and programs focused on improving processes, standards, and service delivery.
  • Manage workload allocation within your team to promote balanced distribution and effective service delivery.
 
About you

You have excellent communication skills and are highly organised in your approach. You will be hands on with process refinement and commitment to training and development of the team. The role requires partnering and collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders, you will always be approachable, transparent and customer focused on your solution delivery. Ideally you will bring experience in government recruitment with an understanding of best practice, the GSE act and the ability to adopt technology to maximise process efficiency.
