The Future Fund is Australia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing over $272 billion across six public asset funds, including the $2.3 billion Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Land and Sea Fund (ATSILS).  The ATSILS fund supports discretionary payments to the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to acquire and manage land, water and water-related rights so as to achieve economic, environmental, social or cultural advancement.

Your future opportunity

We are looking for future thinking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to join the Future Fund as part of a summer Internship Program.

We have opportunities available to join various functions within the Agency, including Organisational Enablement, People, Culture & Inclusion, Technology, Corporate Affairs, Legal & Risk and ESG, where we invite your unique perspective and encourage you to think differently under the mentorship of our senior leaders.

You can expect to:

• Collaborate with our teams to research and solve real world challenges that affect how we work.
• Hear from investment leaders in a series of lunch and learns and get the chance to hone your networking skills.
• Build your professional skills in presenting, communicating, and collaborating and learn what it takes to be successful in future jobs.

You should consider applying if you are:

• An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student in your final or penultimate year of your undergraduate degree.
• Studying any relevant discipline including but not limited to commerce, economics, ICT, communications, HR, actuarial studies, science, engineering, law and humanities.
• Able to be based in Melbourne for the duration of the internship.

The program will run for 4 weeks commencing from 18 November 2024. Alternatively, we will consider other dates that are better aligned to individual circumstances.
