Please note: The successful applicant will need to be eligible to enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution through the Mediation Institute. In addition to the minimum qualifications, we are looking for candidates with strong skills in conflict management, interpersonal skills, communication, writing, relationship building skills and ethics.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- First Nations background (Interrelate considers that being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW)
- Eligibility to enrol in an approved dispute resolution/mediation/conciliation course that leads to qualification as a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (as per “Minimum Qualifications”)
- Discuss with us your knowledge and understanding of:
- the impact of family separation and breakdown on children
- child development, child protection, mandatory reporting, suicide
prevention/ intervention and family violence issues the issues facing
diverse communities, including First Nations, CALD and remote communities
- Demonstrated experience and skills in:
- administration and organisation skills
- working with online systems and technology
