GetUp is one of Australia's largest campaigning communities, with a membership of over 600,000 people. We're an independent, grassroots, community advocacy organisation that seeks to build a more progressive Australia and hold politicians to account. 

Members take action on matters which are important to them. Whether it is campaigning on climate action, economic fairness, environmental sustainability or issues of social justice, GetUp members combine to demand better from our government, big business and media.

GetUp members from across Australia come together at critical moments to take targeted, co-ordinated and strategic action to make real change. This could mean signing a petition, helping to get a television ad on air, attending an event or meeting with local members. 

GetUp is a progressive, independent organisation. Our community believes democracy can only be strengthened by having every day Australians participate in politics. We believe Australians should be heard all the time, not just at elections once every three years.
