About the role
Early Childhood Educators actively engage parents in the delivery of quality playschemes in order to facilitate improved relationships between parents and children. Working within the playscheme team the Early Childhood Educators create an environment of trust and respect with families and children to maximise participation and assist in identifying where additional support and external services may be required. To provide effective support for families and children of 0-6 years of age the Early Childhood Educators must be able to build rapport with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Early Childhood Educators contribute to Save the Children’s Purpose to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. To achieve this the Early Childhood Educators collaborates with playscheme team members to deliver programs and support services that promote positive and culturally respectful approaches to parenting, early childhood education and care, and child and family wellbeing. Early Childhood Educators work under direct supervision of the Team Leader and consult with Family Support Workers to identify potential referral service needs of families and children. About You
